Longing

My heart longs for so much that I don't have.
When will contentment ever stumble upon me?

To put my heart at ease,
To fill my feeble body,
To resolve my questioning mind,
To satiate my diminished spirit...

So I can sleep tonight with blissful thoughts of the morrow
And wake up, alive and ready to take on the day

To be able to stand with dignity with the ability to mold
To take part in something which resolves chaos and grief
To give to others not necessarily that which is overflowing
but something which I have

Until then I weep for something I so grasp,
Constantly yearning for which I believe I should strive for.

I beseech for He who giveth for patience and strength for the journey,
For I am less likely to obtain it if in walking I trod alone.

I sit and silence and wait...
... and wait ...
... and wait.
